Moses spent most part of the book of Deuteronomy, speaking to the children of Israel about the Promised Land.
He prepares them for the land by giving an account of what to expect; the good and not so good aspects, encounters they may have, dos and don’ts and a reminder of the Ten Commandment.
I have come to understand that it was very necessary and of utmost importance that the Israelites were prepared for Canaan (Promised Land). They needed to know what was ahead of them, their minds and and bodies had to be prepared for the task ahead, they needed a reminder of the deliverance they had been through to know the kind of God they served. That was their Preparation Time.
Today, whatever calling is upon your life, whatever God has promised you, just know the He is preparing you for it. He needs you to be ready before He takes you there. You cannot afford to be unprepared when you get to your promised land.
A good friend of mine once said,
“No one prepares for battle on the battlefield”.
Whatever it is that you’re believing God for, He needs to prepare you outside the field before ushering you into it.
Wait on Him and listen to His voice.
Man of God, Larry Titus said in one of his teachings,
“God as the one who knows everything, knows when character has been completed”.
Just know that ‘preparation time‘ is not wasted. He is molding in you a character that can withstand seasons to come.
Don’t forget that even Christ had to go through a preparation time of 30 years (Luke 3:23).
Enjoy your preparation time, you will praise God for it in your next season.
“They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary. They shall walk and not faint.”
I’m praying for you.
