I will try and make this post as short as I can. Play Your Part!
I was reading about our very own Hannah in 1 Samuel.
This woman had a loving husband yet she was sorrowful due to her barrenness. For a long time, she would not eat and was miserable. She poured her heart out to God and asked for a child. What really got my attention was what she did after she had prayed.
1 Samuel 1:18 & 19
“……. So the woman went her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad. (19) …….. And Elkanah knew his wife Hannah, and the Lord remembered her”.
Hannah did not stay sorrowful after she had prayed, she changed her mood and went about her daily duties. I believe she knew the Lord had heard her, so there was no need to stay unhappy.
Another thing is, she did not wait for the child she had prayed for to drop from heaven, she played her part by laying with her husband. She understood she had a part to play in the conception.
Have you presented your request to God for a long time and there is no manifestation?
Maybe, God is waiting on you to play your part.
You pray for a job yet you have sent no application forms. You want a godly husband but you keep running around with every Tom, Dick and Harry who shows you a little attention. You want to keep that relationship yet you are not playing your part to make it strong. You pray for promotion yet you are indiscipline and not willing to change. You want the anointing but you spend little to no time with God.
You need to play your part.
Ask God what He would have you do in His will for your life because believe it or not, you have a part to play and He would not play your ‘human part’ for you.
2 Peter 1:5-7
“But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virture, to virture knowledge, (6) to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love”.
I’m praying for you.
