The Lord is calling out His people to seek Him truly. We are in challenging times where the enemy would distract believers with the least of things therefore, one must remain vigilant. Destruction is coming to the earth and God does not want His children to be found wanting. He is calling us just as He cried out to the children of Israel to repent. We must take heed and run to Him before it is too late.
One of the things I have learnt this year is to remain in Christ, Him alone!
Listen, the enemy isn’t after material things. No, not at all! He is after your salvation and position in Christ. He wants to control your mind by whispering lies, guilt, shame etc. His aim is for you to dwell on these to keep you distracted from the truth. Once distracted, you would begin to doubt the word of God which then allows him to freely control your entire life.
So before he does his worse, stop him at his first.
Renew your mind with the word of God daily, pray without ceasing and resist carnality. Know that this fight is not against flesh and blood. Keep focused and rest in the Lord, knowing you have victory over satan.
1 Corinthians 10:12
“Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he falls.”
I’m praying for you.
As I read through the book of Ezekiel 8, I felt a way about God I’ve never felt before. I felt the pain, anger, sorrow and sadness in His words.
The Lord was hurt.
The children of Israel in the Old Testament proved to be one of the most rebellious group of people to ever live. God gave them everything they asked for; great leaders, kings, food, water, peace, dominion etc. Their daily needs were provided yet they rebelled against God.
God lifted up Ezekiel at a point and showed him what the Israelites were up to.
What they did in the dark when no one was watching; the incense they burnt to lesser gods, the idol worshipping and all sorts of abomination. God was hurt and disappointed. He was angry and promised judgement on Israel.
He handpicked Israel out of many nations to be His people, they were close to His heart yet they neglected God. How painful?!
It was not God’s intention to be angry with His children. He loved them very much that even in His anger there remained compassion; He had strong fatherly love for them.
“Oh how can I give up, Israel?
How can I let you go?
How can I destroy you like Admah or demolish you like Zeboiim?
My heart is torn within me and my compassion overflows”.
Our generation is no different, if not worse. Just like the children of Israel, we are playing the harlot; running to everything but God for solution. Seeking contentment in material things; worshipping our houses, money, cars, titles, fornication, adultery, malice, unforgiveness etc.
Do we realise that the King of kings Himself handpicked us from the lot? Do we know that we are dear to His heart and called according to His will and purpose?
1 Peter 2:9
“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim His praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light”.
It is heartbreaking even as human to give your all to someone and not have your love reciprocated. I believe it hurts God too when we turn our backs on Him. I don’t know about you but the thought of my actions grieving God carries an unpleasant feeling to my heart. We shouldn’t take God back to when He regretted creating man (Genesis 6:6).
Christ desires to be pleased with us and not to feel hurt by us.
When we truly know who we are in Christ, there would be no desire in us to go against His will, we would love Him and reject the world. I pray that we return this amazing love given to us by God through His son Jesus Christ.
“And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind and with all your strength. This is the first commandment.”
I’m praying for you,
It has been over two months since my last post. If you’ve been following my blog from the start of the year, you would notice it’s the longest gap I have taken so far.
During this time a lot happened.
I GOT MARRIED! Yep! no kidding. The Lord has changed my life drastically in the last 10 months, I can’t fathom.
When my husband (oh yes!) and I started courting, we made an intentional decision to do it God’s way.
I, especially had been through a lot of heartbreaks in the past; I was sick and tired of that cycle repeating itself.
I remember spending time with God one day. I told Him that even if His will for my life was to remain single forever, I was okay with it as He is all I need. I prayed that prayer from the depth of my heart. Not long after that my husband and I met again (I had declined his advances the year before… long story for another day lol).
God did wonders when we decided to honour Him with our relationship. We made godly decisions and set standards. One of them was to get to know each other well enough and build a solid foundation before broadcasting our new relationship status. This part was so important to me as I had made mistakes in the past by letting the entire world know my relationship prior to building it. With all that in place (plus lots of prayers), I got proposed to and few months later married on 15th October, 2016.
MY HEART IS SUPER FULL!!!
If anyone had told me a year ago that I would be in the position that I’m in today, I would not have believed. It has been challenging yet amazing journey. The enemy rose against our union; I lost people I called loved ones, a lot were said, rumours started, I shed tears (lots of tears), BUT GOD came through. And when you have a godly and amazing man like I do, it makes it worthwhile. God taught (still teaching) us so much about ourselves and others; how to love the unloveable, how to exercise patience, how to forgive and avoid bitterness.
GOSH! WHAT A JOURNEY!!!!
I urge you, if you are in a godly relationship or are newly engaged, your priority should not be the wedding day but the MARRIAGE and your UNION. Best believe the enemy will come at you two hard. You see, satan hate godly unions because he knows when two come together in God’s name, ministries are built, souls are won, chains are broken. Therefore believer, do not be ignorant of his devices (2 Corinthians 2:11).
I believe if my husband and I had focused on anything else apart from God and prayer, we would not be where we are now. Sometimes I feel we should’ve prayed more. Truly, one must pray without ceasing.
Another thing is, when the attacks come please refrain from fighting carnally (not even with words) but rather spiritually. Remember Ephesians 6:12; For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Frankly, I forgot about this scripture at a point (oh dear!). I felt like defending myself; I began to fight back with words (NEVER DO THAT!).
My then husband-to-be told me, “let them talk, let them attack, we will do ours with prayers”. In my head I was like “huh, are you serious?”. I would pray yet remain angry. One day, the Lord told me, “If you insist on feeding yourself, I will not feed you” (Goodness!). Right there, I knew God wanted me to let go of the pain and anger. I was trying to defend myself in the physical which hardened my heart towards God.
In addition, I realised it was a distraction sent by the enemy. My focus was more on the hurt others caused me than the union I was building. I knew it was time to let go. As painful as it was, I did. My oh my, the peace of God that came thereafter was heavy on me.
I do believe this is just the beginning. The enemy will try it again, nevertheless I know how to conquer him and that is through prayer.
God is good y’all. He is NOT a man that He should lie nor a son of man that He should repent (Numbers 23:19). People will talk (a lot), they will marvel at how high God is elevating you and that is okay; because when God moves, it goes beyond our human mind. Just remain humble, walk in His will and everything He has prepared for you before the foundation of the earth will manifest.
He is the Beginning and the End. He is Great and Mighty. Alpha and Omega. The First and the Last. NOTHING goes unnoticed with Him. He sees your hard work and dedication to the Kingdom. He will reward you with the joy and peace you are looking for. Listen, just stay true and faithful to Him. SEEK HIM DILIGENTLY!
I testify to the Glory of Almighty God that He will do what He has said He would do in His own time. All that I am is by the grace of God. The Elohim!
Now to my husband, my king, the head of my household, the father of my future babies, my prayer partner, my macho man, my one and only, my Special, my Boaz, my Adam (yess ooh I’ll continue), my Solomon, my Samson, my lover, abi you know dada (you already know). I love you more than words could ever describe. Thank you for loving God the way you do, thank you for being different, thank you for finding and pursuing me (as difficult as it was lol), thank you for coming back for me (in my stubborn days lol) thank you for honouring me, thank you for being you. I bless the womb that carried and nurtured you. Just know that God is on our side and we will build His ministries together.
To all who have been on my side through thick and thin, my family, friends, the gifts, laughter, joy and happiness. May God bless you beyond your wildest dreams. I love you all.

1 Corinthians 7:23
“You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of men.”
There are a lot of things we do or say (knowingly or unknowingly) as believers that could cause our fellow brothers and sisters to stumble.
I’m sitting here wondering the amount of times I have imposed my “beliefs” on others.
You see, the amazing thing about Christianity is, it is not a religion. Christ did not die so we could be chain-bound by rules and regulations. On the contrary, He came to give us freedom, freedom from sin and our mortal selves. Of course our freedom is not an excuse to indulge in fleshy desires but to be humble in love (Galatians 5:13).
We have been set free by the cross therefore, we should not overwhelm ourselves or others with non-biblical beliefs.
Apostle Paul elaborated this point in 1 Corinthians 7:19. He explained that circumcision or uncircumcision, it means nothing; the most important thing is obeying the commandments of God.
The act of cutting a piece of flesh does not make one holier than another.
Let’s highlight a few practical points, shall we?!
Some christians choose not to eat certain foods as they deem unholy. If that is how you feel, well it’s okay however, you are not to impose this on other believers in hope of making them feel bad or ‘less unholy’; that is putting their mind into slavery which is not the message of the cross. Walk in love at all times (I Corinthians 1
“For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”
Simple put, you don’t get brownie points from God for eating or not eating certain foods. Those are just preferences.
Another example is day of worship. Now, I know most people have a lot to say about this so before I go any further I would like to put this across; this post is not to condemn anyone.
So, some believers deem one day more holier to worship than the rest. If this is the case for you, then it’s fine. Again, this should not be imposed on others.
It is better to recognise everyday of your life as a day of worship unto the Lord than just a day of the week.
We must stop imposing our cultures, traditions and preferences on others. It causes a lot of damage in people’s lives especially new believers and gives false outlook on the kingdom of God.
Whatever message you put out there either by words or actions, make sure they are in line with the word of God. Many have been confused and subsequently left the kingdom because they felt suffocated with non-biblical rules. I know that because I have been there. As mentioned above, Christ came to give us freedom not slavery.
It is all about your faith and obedience.
“Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.”
I’m praying for you.
There will always be an attack from the enemy when a believer is set in doing the things of God. Nevertheless, this shouldn’t deter you from accomplishing what God has placed in you.
One thing you must know is, you possess everything required for the task/journey ahead, through Christ.
Colossians 2:9 & 10
“For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; (10) and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.”
The enemy knows this, hence his continuous attack towards you.
Nehemiah knew the hand of God was on his life. He recognised the task placed on his heart by God; which was to rebuild Jerusalem after its destruction. Like you and I, he encountered adversaries. His enemies made a mockery of him and his team, yet he was not moved (Nehemiah 2:17-20).
What if I told you, you possess the same attitude like Nehemiah? What if I told you their gossip and disbelief in you could be used as a ‘strength-booster’ to get to your destination? What if I told you, you have already won the battle and you need only to believe?
It is very easy to cry and moan over who doesn’t appreciate your calling, gift, work etc, however, this benefits you nothing. Standing up to the enemy through prayer, being focused and disciplined, now that gets the goal achieved.
It is okay if they laugh, let them. You don’t need to explain yourself to every single person. God gave YOU that vision/word not them. So run with it.
In His own time, your work will speak for itself.
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
I’m praying for you.
It is difficult to go down a painful route more than once. It feels like old wounds are being exposed when you find yourself battling with a familiar spirit/situation, you are always left to feel helpless and drained. It is my prayer that by reading this post, you will be encouraged enough to continue to rely on the Lord.
During the reign of king Asa in 2 Chronicles 16, he discovered that Judah was being invaded by Israel’s king, Baasha. However, instead of running to God for help, he took treasures from God’s temple to king of Syria, Ben-Hadad in hope of rescue.
As I read through the scripture I thought to myself, king Asa had such short memory. How could he run to a mortal being for help when God rescued him from a much bigger situation?! He delivered him from a million men and three hundred chariots (2 Chronicles 14:9-15).
So, why then did the king put his trust in man this time and not God? Knowing very well that he would face the consequences in the end, which he did.
I have realised that many of us believers are giving away too much of ourselves to people or things in hope of been delivered from whatever mess we find ourselves in. In some parts of the world, people are giving away properties just for a “prophet” to tell them they will get married soon, their finances will increase, they will get pregnant etc.
I am in no way suggesting prophecies are bad. Not at all! They are good, however, no human should take God’s place in your life. You should not be relying on the words of men; especially when they are not producing the fruits of the spirit. It never ends well.
“Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a lair”.
Why can’t you rely on God like you did the last time? What makes you think or feel this situation is too big for Him to handle?
O Human beings! We are so unreal; it’s scary. God could rescue one from death-bed yet doubt Him to heal mere headache.
You have no idea what relying on God brings. It is the best thing one could ever do. It calms you, brings peace, takes away fear, it gives hope and increase of faith. His burden is truly light like the bible says. Let me drop this scripture before I continue.
“As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him”.
I always say this; we need to stop thinking we can make life on our own. If we could, what would be the significance of God’s existence? We just can’t! Which is why we should always submit our ways to Him and allow Him to work. It is not easy, I know. Moreover, that is where the application of hope and faith comes in.
The relevance of hope is when one desires something they do not have. If you had that job or opportunity you are looking for, what then would be the point to hope for it? None at all, as you already have it.
So, you see how all things work together for your good? That desire of yours, the “bad” situation you find yourself in, is to help exercise/activate the faith and hope you have in God. (Gosh! I wish I had a microphone to shout this out loud… never mind!).
Today I say, Rely On The Lord, Again! Some of us it’s our 100th time relying on Him, and since He has done it 99 times, this proves He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that I ask or think of according to the power that works in me.
So I rely on Him, again, again, again and again.
“Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?”.
I’m praying for you.
